ON THE TRIP

BEHAVIOR: Respectful & appropriate. Our future participation with ASP and recruitment of adult advisors is directly related to our behavior. Inappropriate behavior will be addressed immediately and, if uncorrected, could result in the volunteer being sent home at the parent’s expense.

CELL PHONES: Each Center’s policy to be determined by the Center Leader and advisors. We discourage their use as they can be a deterrent to a fuller ASP experience. We encourage the purchase of pre-paid phone cards for use at local pay phones.

DRUGS & ALCOHOL: Strictly forbidden. Confirmed incident will be reported to parents and volunteer will be sent home immediately at parent’s expense.

FIREWORKS: The purchase, transport or setting off of fireworks is strictly prohibited by law. Discovered contraband will be confiscated and disposed of properly.

MEDICAL: Professional Medical attention required for the following:

  • Animal bites, puncture wounds, suspected sprains and breaks.
  • Anything beyond normal, first-aid procedures.
  • Parents to be notified in all cases requiring professional medical attention.
  • Annual Advisor/CIT workshop to review basic first-aid procedures

SMOKING: Discouraged; some centers may provide designated areas; NOT allowed on work-site or in vehicles.
